About the Position
Civil Construction Field Engineer will report directly to the chief engineer and will require much collaboration with different crews, engineers and superintendents. During peak construction season, this position will require 10-12 hrs/day 5-6 days per week. Additionally, during the hot, summer months, night or early morning work may be necessary. The field engineer will check in with the project superintendent upon arrival to the jobsite and will checkout with the superintendent prior to leaving for the day.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Work to ensure construction progresses as scheduled and contract specifications are adhered to.
o Layout / surveying.
o Construction staking for vertical and horizontal construction.
o Grade control.
o Machine control.
o Maintain all logs and paperwork.
o Quality control and support of our safety plan.

Travel
Southeastern United States.
You will on the road most of the year.
Requirements:
o Minimum 5 years experience surveying, construction staking, GPS, Total Station, machine control.
o Associates degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, and/or Construction Management.
o Excellent computer skills, MS Office, Excel based templates. Auto CAD a plus.
o Experience with Topcon preferred. We provide training.
o Able to pass a drug and background check.
o Verifiable references.
o Clean driving record

Compensation:
50K - 55K to start depending on experience. Benefits include 401K paid vacation, and health insurance plan. End of year profit sharing plan averages 5% of salary after 1 year of service. Company truck provided.
