We are hiring for immediate placement an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to work at multiple sites throughout the southeast U.S., primarily in Georgia and North Carolina. If after reading this advertisement you can say "that's me they're talking about," contact us ASAP.
About the Position
The CQC's position is more of a leadership position in our company. Your communication skills, ability to relate with different personalities and get people to maintain our standards is just as important as your QC knowledge and experience. YOU are the company's commitment to excellence.
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
o Maintain a cooperative environment with owner, quality assurance (QA) representatives, subcontractors, and co workers.
o Upon delivery, inspect all materials supplied to the job to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and approved submittals.
o Attend the subcontractor's weekly coordination meeting and owner coordination meeting prepared to address all QC requirements.
o Prepare ongoing, weekly, and final punch-list with Superintendent.
o Communicate daily with the Project Superintendent to discuss project quality requirements and deficiencies.
o Attend preconstruction meetings as required to determine the owner's expectations for QC management
o Create and maintain an accurate and effective testing log
o Routinely check self-performed work and subcontractor's work for quality and specification compliance.
o Coordinate daily with project Superintendent for all testing and inspections.
Travel
o This position requires significant travel. Duration on any particular project will mostly range from 3-6 months. However, the duration may be a little as 1 week.
Requirements:
o B.S. degree engineering or construction management.
o Experience working with the Army Corps of Engineers a must.
o current CQM certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC
o Minimum 7 CQM years experience.
o Excellent computer skills.
o Able to pass a drug and background check.
o Verifiable references.

Compensation:
90K - 95K to start depending on experience. Bonus money paid on profitability of jobs. Benefits include paid vacation, and health.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
