The 81st Regional Support Command, Area Maintenance Support Activity 144 located in Greenwood, Mississippi.
About the Surrounding Area:
Greenwood, Mississippi is located at the eastern edge of the state, approximately 96 miles north of Jackson - the state capital and 130 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee. The population, according to the 2010 census is 16,087.
Description of the Working Environment:
Work will be performed primarily in a maintenance shop setting.

This position requires membership in the US Army Reserves (USAR). This position is subject to the Lautenberg Agreement. This position is subject to Mandatory Drug Testing program requirements.
The Duties of this Position Include:
Receiving work requests and scheduling work in the maintenance shop
Preparing the shop production control schedule
Monitoring work progress and notifying units regarding production delays and estimated completion times
Requisitioning, receiving, issuing and maintaining accountability of supplies
Conducting inventories and assisting in updating property book records
Inspecting incoming shipments, comparing items received against receipt documents, and reporting any discrepancies
Preparing and maintaining administrative reports
Conducting training regarding maintenance and supply procedures

Specialized
Experience: To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-06 in the Federal service or equivalent pay band. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves: utilizing knowledge of maintenance procedures to schedule repairs, estimate repair times, and maintain equipment logs; utilizing knowledge of supply procedures to issue, receive and stock supplies, tools or parts; and demonstrating experience conducting inventories.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, and abilities) in the following areas:
Ability to use computer programs
Knowledge of different types of equipment
Skill in requisitioning supplies
Skill in maintaining document registers
Ability to conduct inventories

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
